WAYS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
A gift is more than a donation
It reflects care, connection, and belief in what is possible. Your generosity helps open doors to safe homes and lasting change.
While time, money, and supplies are the most common ways to support Habitat, there are many additional ways to give. Gifts such as stocks, retirement accounts, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, IRA distributions, and other assets allow you to make a lasting impact.
The easiest way to donate securities is through an electronic transfer. Your broker may contact Amanda Green at 270-926-6110, option 3, or amanda@habitatowensboro.org ()to arrange a planned gift.
These types of contributions help us respond to the growing housing needs in our community and create safe, affordable homes for more families.
Thank you for joining us in our mission to help families build strength, stability, and independence through shelter. Everyone deserves a decent place to live, and everyone can do something today to make that possible for another family.
Donating a home or land is a powerful way to support Habitat and help begin the homebuilding process. A gift of real estate provides valuable tax benefits while making a lasting difference for local families.
We accept gifts of undeveloped land, residential, and commercial property within Owensboro–Daviess County. Properties may be located inside or outside city limits, though we are unable to accept land within flood plains. Habitat seeks parcels large enough to build at least one single-family home, with larger lots offering the potential to serve multiple families through additional housing.
